The Global Read Aloud project is a literacy event that students around the world are participating in. For six weeks, the same books are shared with over 300,000 students. There are many opportunities for students to make global connections and share their opinions about the stories.
The younger students will be part of the author study and will be reading the books with Ms. Koppensteiner in the library. This year, the Global Read Aloud is focussing on books written by Amy Krouse Rosenthal. Our first book this week will be Chopsticks. Grade 3 and 4 students will be reading The Year of Billy Miller by Kevin Henkes. Grade 5, 6, and 7 students will be reading Fish in a Tree by Lynda Mullaly Hunt.
